Lifting the hinged lid reveals the 350ml dust bin as well as a 200ml water tank. The water tank is self-emptying and the bin is auto-filling.
The only drawback I could find in this model was the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't removable. Although you can change the mopping cloth (if it's required) however, it's a hassle to take off the mount to wash it manually. I've observed that any carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on the mounts, which could cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a number smart features including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can manage and set up these via the Roborock app, which is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to schedule cleanings and track battery life. You'll have to go through some hoops to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame considering how well-performing it is otherwise.
